MISSION STATEMENT
House Bethesda Orphanage (HBO KIDS Thailand) is established to provide hill tribe children from the remote regions of northern Thailand with a safe, healthy and nurturing home environment and access to a full education.
The Kids at House Bethesda
There are currently 30 children living at House Bethesda, with ages ranging from 7 to 18. An additional four children are living in Chiang Rai city attending university and college. Most children are from the Akha or Lahu hill tribes, native to the Mekong region of northern Thailand, China's Yunnan province, Myanmar and Laos.
Scope of Needs at House Bethesda
The children housed at the orphanage come from difficult family situations. In this remote region of Southeast Asia, there are populations living with a lack of natural resources and education systems to help keep many hill tribe communities sustainable in this modern world.
With some parents in this region and community unable to care for their children, either physically or financially, House Bethesda is there to make sure these hill tribe kids can live a happy, healthy, and productive life. We believe that no child should be left behind.
